Job Description

  • Daily street side cash and position breaks vs. prime brokers & custodians  
  • Liaise with firm custodians and prime brokers ensuring proper trading activity and settlement  
  • Daily oversight of loan administration in the firms accounting system to support internal post close loan administration: tracking contracts, principal/interest payments and drawdowns  
  • Investigate/help resolve any transactional or accrual discrepancies that may arise  
  • Provide full trade life cycle operational support for products including but not limited to Bonds, CLOs, ABS, Currency Forwards/SPOTs, Bank Loans and Equity  
  • Perform performance metric analysis/reporting for the deal team / front office (IRR and MOIC)  
  • Daily interaction with internal and external groups to troubleshoot any booking and/or position discrepancies (Front Office/Fund Accounting/Fund Administrators/SMA Clients/Auditors) 
  • Manage the corporate action/amendment process from start to finish. Obtain vote from desk, completing docs, booking activity when event becomes effective  
  • Assist with CLO monthly tie outs of all positions & cash with the collateral agent/trustee  
  • Daily PNL reconciliation to fund administrators  
  • Assist front office with liquidity management and deal execution with budgeting  
  • Ensure proper recording/accounting, cashflow reconciliation and settlements of total return swaps with ISDA counterparties  
  • Maintenance and oversight of leverage facilities within the system; schedules of interest payments, drawdowns and repayments  
  • Assisting multiple managed service providers when they require support  
  • Perform Detailed Investment Return reconciliation versus full fund administrator 

 

Qualifications 

  • Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or business-related field  
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial services industry  
  • Strong understanding of fixed income or bank loan  
  • Proficient in excel and outlook  
  • Knowledge of various operations and accounting related systems. Experience using a Security Master preferred  
  • Experience using Indus Valley Partners (IVP) products, FIS VPM accounting system, or Bloomberg a plus
