Job Description

The controller position is vital on the Operations and Accounting team responsible for all aspects of accounting, control, operations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have exceptional accounting skills and understand how to apply their experience to navigate new complexities and creative structures. The controller must be action-orientated and able to drive results. They will have the ability to set a sense of urgency on the work that needs to be prioritized and effectively communicate priorities to the team. This leader will partner with the CFO/COO and other leaders to build and manage processes that will help scale our back office seamlessly and cost-effectively. They will liaise with research, legal, compliance, and administration to ensure processes are created and implemented across the organization. The controller will lead by example and have a propensity for coaching and cultivating junior team members. They will work alongside the team to get goals accomplished. They will look for ways to learn and grow at the firm while building effective working relationships. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA license are required 
• Must have a background in Private Equity/Credit and valuation experience 
• 7-10 years of public and private accounting experience preferred 
•  Experience in conducting or managing operations on Private Equity setting is a plus
