Job Description

  • Overseeing the operations of the accounting department and handle all accounting functions, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management and financial reporting
  • Preparing and filing a variety of tax filings, including but not limited to, sales tax and business property tax filings
  • Establishing and maintaining controls to safeguard company assets; document and recommends improvements to internal financial policies and procedures
  • Overseeing the preparation of timely monthly financial statements and reports, including variance analysis versus budget and forecasts
  • Preparing monthly reporting package to stakeholders and lenders
  • Working closely with team members on the annual budget and monthly revenue forecast processes
  • Cash and treasury management, including daily cash reporting and cash projections in a leveraged environment
  • Leading annual audit with external auditors and related information as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
  • Effectively leading the finance/accounting team by developing and coaching existing team members and hiring talent as needed
  • Working with and assisting external accountants in preparation of tax returns
  • Collaborating and interacting with the business to foster effective partnerships
  • Driving continuous improvement in accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Ad-hoc requests and special projects, such as system upgrades/implementations, workflow automation, account trend and vendor cost analysis, etc.


  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate accounting with at least five years of management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • CPA or other relevant qualification required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting policies and compliance
  • Extensive experience with Partnership Accounting/Taxation strongly preferred
  • Experience in Professional Services, Financial Services, or Wealth Management required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on team development
  • Agile mindset – with the ability to successfully manage competing priorities
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to balance resourcefulness and discretion, demonstrates ability to protect confidential and proprietary information of the firm
  • Hands on experience with Aderant, Chrome River, ReqLogic, and/or Workday a definite asset; Proficiency in Aderant highly preferred
  • Aptitude and experience using MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
