Director of Finance at Single Family Office

Job Description:

 - oversight of US investments

 - fund accounting

 - tax compliance

  - investment accounting

 - capital calls

 - oversight of fund administrator

 - treasury function 

 - legal - basic functions - subscription docs, investment docs

 - Quarterly reporting

 - review tax returns prepared externally, review tax estimates, 1099s (all handled by Grassi - accounting firm)

 - pay bills, payroll, pay taxes, reconcile accounts

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience

  - CFO - preferred

  - Controller on cusp of CFO 

 - backgrounds:

 - family office (overseeing investments - preferable PE and RE, PE and RE FOF)

  - high level performer - wants someone excellent, can't make critical mistakes, etc.

 - processes - strong experience from a process-oriented environment

 - tax and structuring experience 

 - systems - experience with system implementation a plus (may consider upgrading from Quickbooks)

 - CPA - preferred but not required

 - loyal, LT oriented (most of their personnel are with the family for many years), family oriented 

 - humble, not a big ego
