Job Description

The Director of IR will be responsible for ensuring the firm is strategically positioned with all investors and stakeholders. This person will work collaboratively with senior management and be responsible for creating the appropriate strategy, framework, and tactics, as well as for providing a very compelling investor relations roadmap.

The job requires a professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who also has entrepreneurial skills and looks to the future with optimism to envision what could be possible. Success in this role requires collaboration, communication, leadership, and vision.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop a robust investor relations strategy and framework
  • Develop investor confidence and belief in the firm's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value
  • Create a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties
  • Develop and manage relationships with investment banks, research analysts, and other institutional investors
  • Generate an outreach plan geared toward relevant investors, analysts and other stakeholders
  • Provide insights on market activity and peer analysis
  • Create/update Company presentations and investor communication materials
  • Prepare content for quarterly earnings reports, quarterly earnings conference call scripts, investor conferences and other management presentations
  • Analyze peer transactions and communications, competitor behavior, shareholder issues, and anything else that could impact the business
  • Create database of key institutional investors to target
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing quarterly earnings and conference calls
  • Explore media opportunities to further build brand awareness


  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or communications
  • 10 or more years’ experience in a corporate level investor relations role dealing with buy-side equity analysts, institutional equity investors and a strong track record of networking and creating positive relations with the investor community
  • Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, industry dynamics as well as an understanding of key metrics for companies/peers in the industry
  • A professional who is entrepreneurial and has a client-minded focus
  • Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to draft engaging and impactful press releases/corporate communication materials
