Fund Accountant

Responsibilities: 

Work in an interesting and challenging environment in a team atmosphere. Candidate should have the ability to multitask and will be working closely with accounting team as well as operations, marketing/investor relations, compliance and investment teams. Responsibilities will include: 

• Calculation of daily NAVs, including daily IRRs. 
• Preparation of daily reporting for Traders and PMs. 
• Ad hoc projects including reporting on exposure, PnL, preparing investor correspondence in consultation with IR. 
• Assist in month-end close working with external administrator.  Clarify pending items, review discrepancies. 
• Assist in audit preparation. 
• Assist in the review of tax adjustments and preparation of K-1s. 
• Support with management company accounting including review of contracts, invoices and accounting entries.  
• Effectively coordinate with custodian banks, prime brokers, and other internal and external service providers. 

Position Requirements: 

• 1 to 3 years of accounting experience. 
• Highly motivated individual seeking to work in a collaborative, team environment. 
• Strong analytical skills are a must as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Must be able to multi-task and manage various projects in a timely manner. 
• Strong Excel skills.  Any additional tech skills a plus (VBA, SQL, etc.). 
• Ability to think out of the box with an aptitude for process improvements and efficiency enhancement. 
• Familiarity with Advent Geneva, Eze Castle and QuickBooks a plus.  
• Bachelor’s degree with high GPA. 
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. 
• Direct or indirect experience with hedge funds a plus.
