Legal & Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

  • Coordination of meetings with internal and external parties
  • Running processes such as vendor and contract management, meeting prep, follow-ups, office organization and some ad hoc projects
  • Serving as a primary intake for requests aligned to each business function, including compliance, investor services, and finance from internal and external parties
  • Personal administrative support including, but not limited to helping to manage some personal engagements and commitments for the GC.


Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of working experience; preferably in a highly operational / process-oriented position
  • Someone with a service-oriented mentality, motivated by helping others achieve their goals
  • The ideal person for this role will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with executives and to coordinate a high volume of diverse assignments, effectively handle competing priorities, while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • This person should be highly flexible and reliable, with ability to drive a task from inception to completion
  • The ideal candidate must be able to execute common-sense decisions and demonstrate discrete security-mindedness and confidentiality.
  • This person should be open-minded, comfortable with ambiguity, maintain composure under pressure, and able to execute tasks in both a thoughtful, people-oriented way, while also being consistently aligned to the goals at hand.
  • While the team is open to and encouraging different types of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives, to perform optimally in this role, the right candidate will already have some professional experience in financial services or within an in-house Legal and Compliance team.

  • Practical, resourceful problem solver who is process-oriented but also able to connect details to goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write professionally, clearly and concisely in a business context
