Manager of Capital Solutions/Trading Desk Manager

Job Description

  • The Trading Desk Manager will play an important role within the firm’s Capital Solutions team. The individual will assist with fund administration and reporting and will be responsible for trade settlements, loan servicing activities and position-level accounting. 
  • The individual will have a broad range of responsibilities related to fund operations and trade settlements, including, but not limited to: 
  • Day-to-day management of outsourced service providers of internal records. 
  • Review of daily cash, positions, and income reconciliations to the internal records to the fund administrator and trade counterparties, including resolution of breaks. 
  • Coordinate loan closing flow of funds, post–closing due diligence and calculations. This includes executing complex closing combinations, such as originations with simultaneous participation, syndication, rollovers of existing facilities, or refinancing and restructures. 
  • Perform agent services to borrowers and participating lenders. Accurately process amendments, assignments, terminations, drawdowns, rollovers, resets, L/C draws, commitment increases and reductions, interest, principal, fees, skims, etc., over the life of the loans in the system of record. 
  • Assist team in the development and maintenance of ongoing market screening tools to monitor investment opportunities. 
  • Managing and maintaining firm access to third-party data 
  • Daily confirmation and reconciliation of all trade details on ClearPar or with trade counterparties 
  • Calculate the Cost of Carry and Delayed Comp for any delayed settlements 
  • Review of month-end/quarter-end reconciliation and coordination with the finance team to support their closing process. 
  • Assist in the year-end audit process. 
  • Reading and understanding Credit Agreements. 


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required. 
  • 5-10 years of relevant middle office operations experience in loans (private credit, direct lending or broadly syndicated loans). 
  • Experience working with relevant loan and bond trading platforms and systems including Bloomberg, ClearPar, Trade Blotters, Datasites 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interact directly with investment professionals. 
  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Extremely organized and able to multi-task. 
  • Must be meticulous, detail-focused, and consistently accurate.
