Job Description
- Participate in the new fund pipeline meetings to monitor upcoming funds to ensure investments are executed to the underlying funds.
- Prepare investment trade documents to close into underlying funds for private equity and hedge funds; Assist in the KYC/AML process to onboard funds with managers.
- Partner with Fund Origination, Legal, Finance, Investor Relations, and external fund administrators to close into underlying funds and monitor and coordinate deliverable deadlines for fund investments.
- Entails frequent communication and coordination with underlying fund managers and their external counsel.
- Provide set-up for international product distribution (ISIN, APIR, and LEI).
- Help with team-wide tech initiatives, including but not limited to, housing fund investment data on Fund Master platform; Build out investment data infrastructure on proprietary platform; involvement in the workflow tool to streamline team processes.
- Assist senior team members in improving processes through enhanced documentation, workflows, and/or automation to improve the scale of capabilities. Team members are expected to be active contributors to new ideas and solutions.
- Assist with any other middle office, operations functions, and projects as required.
Qualifications
- 2-8 years of accounting, finance, and/or operations experience in alternatives is preferred
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail is required; Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines is critical
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and strong work ethic needed
- Excel proficiency required
- Possess the desire and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment
