Senior Accountant - BDC

Job Description

• Work closely with BDC Controller, Senior Accountant and senior management on all aspects of fund accounting and operations including funding of investments and day-to-day accounting activities
• Maintain and update process controls and documentation
• Prepare, analyze, and review reporting requests from internal and external parties, including external auditor. 
• Post principal and interest payments as well as other cash activity into the accounting system
• Liaise with the fund administrator on NAV review and preparation, expense payment and trade settlement
• Help in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements (10-Qs and 10-Ks) including financial highlights and MD&A
• Involvement in other critical fund processes such as valuation, debt facility management, shareholder transactions and compliance
• Work with other team members on firm initiatives and special projects
