Senior Fund Accountant/Assistant Controller

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work with and report to the Fund Controller, being a key team member of the fund accounting function for a rapidly growing global multi-strategy hedge fund as controls and processes are automated and optimized.
- Develop, monitor, and execute automated controls over the fund administrator and back-office vendors, partnering with key service providers and technology platforms to enhance the accounting process.
- Automate and execute controls around the month-end NAV estimate and close processes, managing service providers and creating KPIs/metrics to drive accountability and efficiency.
- Implement and monitor automated controls around shadow accounting systems, investor allocations, and both internal and external reporting processes.
- Partner with the management company team to design and implement processes for expense management given the firm’s pass-through structure.
- Prepare investor reporting, including regular and ad hoc requests, working closely with tax and compliance teams to meet global fund-related requirements.
- Review fund audits for the master/feeder structure, ensuring seamless coordination with tax filing requirements.
- Responsible for execution and review of regulatory reporting, including Form PF, CPO-PQR, FAR, and other filings requirements for domestic and international.
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- CPA (or equivalent designation) and public/private accounting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on building and executing automated controls across fund accounting processes.
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, driving process improvements and automation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments, including operations, compliance, tax, and global stakeholders.
- Experience building or utilizing technology tools for automation (Python, RPA, SQL, Excel VBA, etc.) is highly desirable.
